o APPENDIX A N_0TICE OF VIOLATION Continuous Technology Docket No. 99990001/85-12 Bridgeport, Pennsylvania 19405 General License As a result of the inspection conducted on June 14, 1985, and in accordance with the NRC Enforcement Policy (10 CFR 2, Appendix C), the following violations were identified:
10 CFR 31.5(c)(4) requires that records of tests for leakage of radio-active material required by 10 CFR 31.5(c)(2) be maintained for one year af ter the next required leak test is performed or until the sealed sources is disposed of or transferred.
Contrary to the above, as of June 14, 1985, records of leak tests performed on the sealed sources were not maintained since the sealed sources were received.
This is a Severity Level V violation (Supplement VI).
Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201, Continuous Technology is hereby required to submit to this office within thirty days of the date of the letter which transmitted this Notice, a written statement or explanation in reply, including: (1) the corrective steps which have been taken and the results achieved; (2) corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further violations; and (3) the date when full compliance will be achieved. Where good cause is shown, consideration will be given to extending this response time.
