Dear Mr. Brady:
The purpose of this letter is to respond to your letter of March 6,1997 which appointed Mr. Bernard Stapleton as the Classification OfHeer for the United States Enrichment Corporation (USEC).
Mr. Sam Elkins of the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant and Mr. Henry Thomas of the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant have been appointed as the respective Site Classification OfHeers for USEC.
They can delegate derivative classification authority to Authorized Derivative Classifiers (ADCs) at each site, as required. is a list ofindividuals (ADCs) who can make classification decisions on behalf of USEC.
All of these individuals have received training with respect to classification decisions using CG-PGD-5,
" Joint NRC/ DOE Classification Guide for Uranium Isotope Separation by the Gaseous Diffusion Process (U)," December 1995.
Future changes to the ADC list will be forwarded to the NRC within 30 days of the change.
