This transmittal is provided in accordance with the schedule provided in the September 13, 1985 NRC letter f rom Ms. Adensam to ir. Foster. The draft Technical Specifications have been developed based on the version of the Westinghouse Standard Technical Specifications provided by the NRC staff for this purpose (Adensam to Foster, November 5,1985) and based on the guidance provided by the NRC staf f during an October 21, 1985 meeting between the staff and Georgia Power Company.
(fieeting Summary dated October 28, 1985 by M. A. Mille r. ) As requested, we are providing an original mark-up of the Technical Specifications plus four copies.
This submittal incorporates plant specific design features, safety analysis values, and is intended to be consistent with the VECP FSAR and the staff's SER related to the operation of VEGP Units 1 and 2.
Any deviations from the Standard Technical Specifications are accompanied by appropriate justification. The justifications are provided at the end of each section of the Technical Specifications, and, where possible, FSAR references are provided to aid the staff in their review.
The Bases for the Technical Specifications have been revised to be consistent with the Technical Specif1 cations and, in some cases, to provide clarification.
This submittal does include a minimum of "laters" which will be provided to the staff as soon as they become available.
In addition, we are in the process of evaluating a number of the short term improvements described in the October 17, 1985 letter f rom L. D. Butterfield to ilugh Thompson and discussed during the January 29, 1986 meeting between the staff and the WOG Technical Specification Subcommittee. The short term improvements deemed appropriate for VEGP will also be provided in a tinoly manner.
