Dear Mr. Denton:
Reference (a) provided a copy of the Braidwood Annex to the Commonwealth Edison Generating Station Emergency Plan (GSEP) for your review.
Reference (b) provided notice of changes to be made in the next revision to the Anner which will remove inconsistencies between the Byron and Braidwood Annexes.
"ubsequent review by your staff and that of Region III has revealed other areas requiring modification.
This letter addresses one of those areas.
The changes detailed in the attachment will be made with the next revision to the Braidwood Annex which is now undgeway.
Please address any comments or concerns that you or your staff may have regarding this matter to this office.

Pace Comment BWA 6-3 Prompt notification of Section 6.3.1 transient populations should be addressed.
Response
Section 6.3.1 as it appears in Revision 1, with the current additions underlined, will begin as follows:
6.3.1 Prompt Notification System This prompt public notification system consists of a permanently installed outdoor notification systen within the zero (0) to ten (10) mile radius around the station.
The zero (0) to ten (10) mile radius around the station is primarily an agricultural area with a population density below 2000 persons per square mile.
The prompt notification system, as installed, consists of mechanical and electronic sirens which will cover this entire area with a minimum sound level of 60 db.
Electronic sirens possess a public address
, capability.
These electronic sirens are located near recreational areas to provide emeccency information to the transient population as well as soundino the alert tone.
Additionally, for the heavily populated areas within the zero (0) to ten (10) mile radius around the station which contain several communities, the prompt notification system will cover these communities with a minimum sound level of 70 db to ensure complete coverage.
