SUBJECT:
FIRE RISK ASSESSMENT RESEARCH PLAN Attached for the ACRS'information, and for their review and comment if they wish,is a report documenting our plans for the overall RES fire risk assessment research program (i.e., ongoing and planned work). The ACRS Subcommittee on Fire Protection heard presentations of the material covered in this report at their January meeting, and comments and questions raised at that meeting have been addressed in this report.
' We are considering issuance of this report as a NUREG, with wide distribution to inform interested pt:11es regarding the details of our research plans. We would appreciate review and comment by interested ACRS members regarding the content of the report, and regarding our l
plans to make it available in that manner, if possible by August 13,1999 so that we can distribute the information in a timely manner. We are prepared to discuss this material with individual members (or at a meeting, if that is desired) at their convenience.
