STAFF REQUIREMENTS - PERIODIC MEETING WITH ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON REACTOR SAFEGUARDS (ACRS), 2:15 P.M.,

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 1985, COMMISSIONERS' CONFERENCE ROOM, D.C. OFFICE (OPEN TO PUBLIC ATTENDANCE)

The Commission met with members of the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) to discuss DOE's program to handle and dispose of radioactive waste, NRC's Severe Accident Policy and Human Factor research.

The Commission Provided no specific requirements to the ACRS.

However, Chairman Palladino advised the Commission that he would provide proposals to the Commission on ACRS participr. tion in the NRC's nuclear waste management program and on an approach the Commission should take with respect to human factor research.
