-This refers to our March 13,1997, letter regarding the Maine Yankee Station. Enclosure 2
of that correspondence was NRC inspection Report 50-309/96-14 which contained a

typographical error. The second bullet on page 39 reported the activity of a discrete
radioactive particle as 0.218 curies. The reported activity should have been 0.218 ;
microcuries. A corrected copy of page 39 of NRC Inspection Report No. 50-309/96-14is
enclosed.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter -
