The Commission was briefed by Ben Rusche, Director, Office of Civilian Radioactive Waste Management, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and Keith Klein, Deputy Associate Director for Storage and Transportation Systems, Office of Civilian Radio-active Waste Management, DOE on a proposal for constructing and operating a facility for monitored retrievable storage (MRS).
Chairman Palladino requested that Commissioners vote as soon as possible on SECY-86-9.
