Dear Mr. Muller:
This letter transmits an evaluation of the Peach Bottom Unit 3 Recirculation Outlet' Safe Ends.
The evaluation, performed by General Electric Company, is provided in the attached document titled, " Evaluation of the Low Carbon Type 316 Stainless Steel Recirculation Outlet Safe Ends at Peach Bottom Unit 3".
The evaluation includes an analysis of ultrasonic tests performed on the Recirculation Outlet (N-1) safe ends and the results of tests performed on a 1-inch diameter core sample obtained from Recirculation Outlet pipe to safe end weld 2-DS-2.
