This letter is in reference to your letter of March 14,
'1997, informing us of the subject investigation by the NRC OI on the alleged falsification of fire watch journals at the sequoyah Nuclear Plant.
We believe that it is important that TVA be afforded the opportunity to review OI Report'No.2-96-009 and its related documentation in their entirety in order to be able to fully respond to the Notice of Violation (NOV) (EA 97-092) described in your March 14 letter.
Accordingly, we also request that you grant an extension to the stated response
. time to allow TVA to respond within thirty days _after our receipt of the subject NRC OI report.
