Dear Mr. Keppler:
With regards to NRC I&E Bulletin 79-02 (Log No. 1-113) and NRC ISE Bulletin 79-14 (Log No. 1-199), Toledo Edison Company '(TED) provided a letter dated May 31, 1984 (Serial No. 1-429) which stated that the hanger modifications and physical implementation work activities under the I&E Bulletins were complete for Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit No. 1.
Since that time however, several Facility. Change Requests (FCR) which were originally issued as a result of the I&E Bulletin walkdowns were identified as open. Also, several work items were identified as closed, but the work was not yet fully completed.
This letter is provided to supercede our previous submittal (Serial 1-429) and inform you that the I&E Bulletin 79-02 & 79-14 modification effort is not yet entirely complete.
Based upon our current Seismic Category I Piping System Support and Hanger Inspection Program, the status of which was most recently provided in Serial No. 1-599, any additional incomplete ISE Bulletin 79-02 & 79-14 modifications will also be identified, included in our current review effort, and completed as necessary. We will provide confirmation of the completion of the I&E Bulletin 79-02 and 79-14 effort as part of our final report in response to the completion of Confirmatory Action letter d5-13, Items 2 and 3.
