The purpose of this letter is to transmit Kansas Gas and Electric Company's (KG&E) projected values of the Reference Temperature for Pressurized Thermal Shock (RT PTS fr ree enera ng Station, M t No. 1.
On July 23, 1985 the Nuclear Regulatory Commission amended 10 CFR 50.61 which describes f racture toughness requirements for protection against a pressurized thermal shock event. In accordance with 10 CFR 50.61, the attachment the inner vessel tothisletterprovidesKG6E'sprojectedvaluesofRT[l!e(at surface) of reactor vessel beltline material from present time through the expiration of the Operating License for Wolf Creek Generating Station, Unit No. 1.
