As stated in the November 18,'1985 letter from Gary G. Zech to H. G. Parris, NRC has scheduled an inspection of TVA's program to establish equipment qualification at our Sequoyah Nuclear Plant for December 2-6, 1985. As a result of the recent NRC. audit of our progress, and as discussed with H. R. Denton and others in a meeting on November 21, 1985 with H. G. Parris and C. c. Mason, we request that the inspection be delayed until the first part of January 1986. We will be providing a status of the progress on a Periodic basis as discussed with C. Stahle of your staff. If our readiness i
for the inspection changes, we will inform you as soon as possible.
