DRAFT PROPOSAL FROM ILLIN0IS FOR AGREEMENT STATE STATUS In response to your request of August 12, 1985, we have reviewed the draft L proposal from Illinois for Agreement State Status. Our review has focused on Section 6, " Standards far Protection Against Radiation," of Volume III, .
" Regulations," of the State of Illinois Application for Agreement State Status. !
We have reviewed the State's proposed radiation protection regulations according to the Criteria for Radiation Protection Standards contained in NRC's Policy Statement.* We find that those portions of the State's proposed standards that '
are within NRR's area of expertise are in accordance with the radiation protection standards in 10 CFR 20.
