OF DECEMBER 10, 1985 MEETING WITH THE B&W 0WNERS GROUP TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS COMMITTEE On December 10, 1985, the NRC staff met with representatives of the B&W Owners Group (B&WOG) Technical Specifications Committee in Bethesda, 4
Maryland. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the plans of the B&WOG i
l with regard to the development of new generic Technical Specifications Committee in Bethesda, Maryland. is a list of attendees. is the meeting agenda; the handouts discussed during the meeting are also enclosed (Enclosure 3).
I The B&WOG Technical Specifications Connittee improvement program has the following objectives:
1.
Develop B&WOG Topical on Improved Technical Specifications and utility j
specific companion documents within 1 year.
2.
Utilize existing documents, both industry generic and plant specific, to the extent possible.

Incorporate resolution of identified problems (TSIMP, peer review).
l 4.
Utilize utility resources to the extent possible.
5.
Pursue resolution of issues on a generic bases - either Owners GroJp or Industry wide - to the extent possible.

6.
Minimize extensive technical changes to those that can be made within i
the time allowed without impacting schedule.
7.
Improve the Bases of Technical Specifications, utilizing generic efforts and utility resources to the extent possible.
8.
Prepare companion documents such as former tech spec LCO's and surveillance plan / guidance in parallel with BWOG effort utilizing utility l
resources.
The produce of the B&WOG Technical Specification improvement program will be a four-volume set of operational specifications. The titles of the four volumes are as follows:
