l As follow-up to our telephone conversation of March 18, 1997, Westinghouse is hereby

requesting an extension of the prescribed schedule for submittal of the summary of a Criticality Safety Evaluation (CSE) for "SNM Storage," from March 31,1997 to April 30,1997. As we

discussed, the magnitude of the effort is large, covering all of the various SNM storage practices in the facility. Further, preparation of this CSE, including internal reviews, has coincided with a i
peak production period, and an unusually large frequency of NRC inspections.
