Dear Mr. Keppler:
Dairyland Power Cooperative (DPC) has reviewed I.E. Bulletin No. 85-02 for its applicability to the La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor (LACBWR). LACBWR does not use Westinghouse DB-50 breakers. This bulletin does not apply to LACBWR since the reactor protection system uses a series of relays and not trip breakers to insert control rods.
This letter is intended to meet Item 4 of the required actions. Items 1, 2 and 3 do not pertain to LACBWR. For informational purposes to the licensed operators, this bulletin will be routinely routed. DPC attempts to keep LACBWR-personnel aware of all nuclear industry concerns whether or not it specifically affects LACBWR.
