as supplemented %httepp'd'bhanges to the Quad By letter dated June 10, 1996, iated february 17, 1997, Commonwealth Edison Company, the licensee, requeste Cities Nuclear Power Station, Units 1 and 2, Technical Specifications (TS).
i The proposed changes deal with the transition from one NRC-approved methodology, i.e., General Electric Company, to another NRC-approved methodology, i.e., Siemens Power Corporation. Other minor editorial changes are also proposed.
1 The Reactor Systems Branch (SRXB) has reviewed the proposed technical j
specification and bases changes in the Quad Cities, Units 1 and 2, TS. The staff has concluded that operation in the proposed manner will not endanger the public health and safety and that issuance of the proposed amendment will not be inimical to the common defense and security under the limitations delineated in the associated safety evaluation. Our safety evaluation is provided in Attachment 1.
