Attention: Mr. Eric H. Johnson Docket No. 50-267
SUBJECT:
Design Document Review
REFERENCE:
PSC Letter, Singleton to Johnson, dated May 21, 1985 (P-85172)
Dear Mr. Johnson:
The purpose of this letter is to inform you of the results of the independent Control Rod Drive Orifice Assembly (CRD0A) drawing and 0
& M Manual review which was to verify that applicable design requirements were incorporated into CRD0A Fuel Handi'ng Procedure Work Packet (FHPWP) procedures and CRD0A purchase orders. This independent review included 362 CRD0A assembly drawings and applicable sections of the 0 & M Manual in which 734 drawing notes were found to contain requiremer.ts which would apply to the installation, procurement and manufacture of CRD0A components. A total of 26 requirements, which relate to the Public Service Company Refurbishment Program, were found not to be fully implemented into the FHPWP procedures.
Additionally, seven (7) requirements were found not to be fully implemented in the purchase order requirements.
Each of these requirements are stated and addressed in Attachment A.
c The conclusion of this review is that all essential technical
\\
engineering requirements have been included in the aforementioned pf documents.
Furthermore, none of the omissions, additions or changes p
constitute a condition which would require rework.
