Inspection Report No. 70-1201/85-04 Gentlemen:

This letter addresses the finding noted in Inspection Report No.

70-1201/85-04.

The inspection was performed by Mr. W.

B. Gloersen on June 12-14, 1985.

During the course of the inspection, one item of noncompliance was identified.

-~ Violation:

10 CFR 70.59 (a) (1) requires the licensee to sub-mit a semiannual report to the appropriate NRC Regional Office specifying the quantity of each of the principal radionuclides released to un-restricted areas in liquid and gaseous effluents during the previous six months of operation to estimate maximum potential annual radiation doses to the public resulting from effluent releases.

Contrary to the above, the licensee's effluent report submitted for the period July 1, 1984 through December 31, 1984 did not specify the actual quantities of radionuclides released during that period.

This is a Severity Level V violation (Supplement VII).
