NPDES Noncompliance Report for the Fort Calhoun Power Station
Dear Mr. Ringenberg:
Please find enclosed a NPDES Noncompliance Report for the Fort Calhoun Power Station from a sample taken on July 24, 1985.
This violation occurred during upgrade work on both cells of the chemical equalization and decantation holding basins with the banks of both cells being reshaped and lined with crushed rock.
It was during this work that the plant staff was unable to isolate the west cell of the chemical ponds which resulted in a pH violation.
This work will be concluded shortly with no further violations anticipated.
Verbal notification was made to Mr. Dick Varner of the DEC on August 2, 1985.
