Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2 MODIFIED AMENDED SECURITY PLAN, REVISION 30 The attached revision 30 to the modified amended security plan (MASP) is submitted in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(p).
The revision addresses several changes that include manning requirements of the armed response team, illumination requirements to address emergency conditions or conditions beyond reasonable control, and uninterrupted power supply vital area.
The revision also responds to the NRC's request to revise the description of the malevolent vehicle barrier system (VBS) and adds a figure in chapter 4 of the specific configuration of the VBS, We have deleted reference to an obsolete fire protection system that was removed from a secured area, and the requirement for review and approval of the security plan and implementing procedures by the plant nuclear safety review committee.
Figures in chapter 4 and chapter 5 were revised to reflect additions and changes to site layout access portal controls.
Finally, a deletion in appendix C was made to eliminate a contingency event that is now addressed elsewhere in the security plan.
Details of changes are found in attachment 1 to this letter. These changes do not decrease the effectiveness of the security plan. contains the revised pages to the MASP.
