McGuire Nuclear Station Docket Nos. 50-369 and 50-370 Commitment to Upgrade Sightglass
Dear Mr. Denton:
In Licensee Event Report 370/85-10 dated June 26, 1985, Duke Power Company stated that the Pressurizer Relief Tank sightglass on both units would be replaced with a sightglass that has higher pressure and temperature limits.
Due to the anticipated deletion of the Upper Head Injection (UHI) System (proposed in my letter of May 9, 1985), the sightglass no longer needs to be upgraded. This commitment should therefore be deleted (contingent upon approval of UHI removal).
