SUMMARY
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss NRC's comments on the following

documents: (1) Site Characterization, Remediation and Health and Safety Plan (SCRHSP) for the former Clevite Corporation Site, dated November 27, 1996; and (2) Site Characterization Report (SCR) for the former Clevite Corporation Site, dated November 27, 1996. Donna Moser discussed each of the NRC comments
}
in detail.
NRC also described what type of information should be included in the SCRHSP, 4
SCR and Final Site Survey Plan, and how this information could be effectively presented.
NRC provided Sevenson sample reports which contain the desired content and format.
Participants agreed that NRC comments dealing with the SCRHSP and SCR must be resolved and the reports revised and submitted to NRC for review before remediation at the site may commence.
Comments addressing the Final Site Survey Plan may be resolved after remediation begins.
Participants discussed the schedule for completion of remediation. The tentative schedule is as follows:
- SES submits revised SCR and SCRHSP April 15, 1997 NRC completes review of SCR & SCRHSP May 12, 1997 SES submits Final Survey Plan May 12, 1997 SES starts remediation in West wing May 12, 1997 SES completes remediation in West wing June 13, 1997 SES start final survey of site &
June 13, 1997 NRC (w/0 RISE) conducts confirmatory survey SES completes final survey of site July 15, 1997 SES submits Final Survey Report August 7, 1997 NRC completes review of Final Survey Report September 5, 1997

Ms. Mara Kushwa indicated that her client would like to be kept informed of remediation progress and scheduling changes occurring at the site.
NRC offered to put Ms. Kushwa on distribution for all correspondence between NRC i
and Gould/Sevenson. Ms. Kushwa accepted the offer.
The meeting was adjourned.
