1985, Mr.

Folker, Vogtle Project Quality Assurance Engineer, informed Mr.
W.
H.
Rankin of the USNRC of a potentially reportable condition concerning the cylinder head weld repair on the Transamerica Delaval diesel generator-units furnished for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant.
The use of a certain weld repair procedure could potentially result' in coolant leakage from the engine.
Georgia Power Company is currently evaluating this condition for reportability pursuant to the requirements of 10 CFR 50.55(e) and 10 CFR 21 and expects to inform the NRC of the results of tMs evaluation by February 7, 1986.
