Fort Calhoun Nuclear Station, Blair, Mshington County, Nebraska. This was a full-participation exercise for the State of Nebraska, Washington and Dodge Counties; and, the State of Iowa, Harrison and Ibttawattanie Counties for the Onaha Public Power District's Fort Calhoun Nuclear Power Station. The report, dated Septenber 18, 1985, was prepared by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region VII.

FEMA Region VII has provided a draft ccpy of this report to the States of Iowa and Nebraska and requested a schedule of corrective actions.

Men we receive and analyze the corrective actions, m will send you the results of that review. However, since there were no identified impediments to protecting the public health and safety during the exercise the approval for the State of Nebraska under 44 CFR 350 will renain in effect. The submittal by the State of Iowa under 44 CFR 350 is under review by FEMA. We will send you the results of that review when it is canpleted.

Submission of the Exercise Report for the Evaluation of the Implementation of State and Local Radiological Emergency Response Plans for the Ft. Calhoun Nuclear Station In compliance with hk CFR Part 350 and your memo of August 5, 1983, I hereby submit three copies of the Exercise Report, dated September 18, 1985, for the evaluation of the implementation of State and Local Radiological Emergency Response plans for the Ft. Calhoun Nuclear Station exercise, July 2h, 1985, for your review and approval.

A Table of Contents is provided to assist in your review.

Further documentation and related caterials are retained and may be requested from FEMA Region VII, which is the office of record for this exercise evaluation.

There were no deficiencies (as defined by Guidance Memorandum Ex-1, July 15, 1985) observed in the course of the exercise.
