Dear Mr. Hess:
This letter is to inform you of a change in the NRC Project Manager for review of the CYTRAC Topical Report and the establishment of a review schedule for completion of NRC's review of the Topical Report.
I have taken over the duties as Project Manager from Gary W. Roles.
I will resume the completion of NRC's procedures for review of the CYTRAC Topical Report. The enclosure to this letter is the schedule I have established for-completion of the review process.
The review process was actually started in August, 1984; therefore, Milestone 1 is completed. Since that time, the Topical Report has been submitted to the Agreement States with operating low-level waste disposal facilities, and to certain NRC branches dealing with low-level waste disposal for review.
Comments on the Topical Report have been received from all of these reviews.
Milestones 2 and 3, therefore, are also complete.
Mr. Roles has requested from you and received several additional pieces of information that were necessary to continue the review process. These will not have to be transmitted to the Agreement States and other branches in NRC; therefore, the next step in the process is Milestone 4.
Shortly after January 13, 1986, you will receive questions reflecting the NRC and Agreement State reviews. As shown, you will have two months to submit responses to these questions.
The schedule established should result in the NRC's completing the review of the CYTRAC Topical Report by the end of ' July,1986, assuming that you are WM Record FJe WM Project k Docktt No.
