Dear Mr. Williams:
Subjecc: Postponement of SALP This letter is to confirm our conversation of November 19, 1985 concerning the issuance of a SALP Report for Davis-Besse. As we discussed, a report for the period September 1, 1984 through November 30, 1985 will not be issued.
In view of the experiences over the past year and major changes which are currently underway, I have concluded that no useful purpose would be served by conducting a SALP for this period.
Instead, I presently plan to issue a SALP Report approximately six (6) months after plant startup. The SALP evaluation will cover the restart effort and the initial period of operation.
