Commitments to the bepartment of Energy (DOE), Supplement 1
Dear Mr. Pierson:
This letter provides a supplemental report of open USEC commitments to DOE as committed in our letter dated March 1,1997 (reference USEC letter GDP 97-0023) The enclosed information supplements Enclosure 2 of the referenced letter and contains information that was electronically unavailable during the initial downloading of data from the Business Priority System (BPS).
The enclosed lists eight (8) Priority I commitments and three (3) Priority 2 commitments. Of these commitments, the due date for one has been extended due to inadequate evidence to support closure as discussed further below.
Re-onened Commitment:
In response to DOE violation 70 t002/96-08-03, USEC committed to train Organizational, Group, Sectional, and Front Line Managers on the use of procedures, vice policies, to direct work activities by February 28,1997. This commitment was closed by USEC on February 28,1997. Ilowever, USEC re-opened the commitment on March 3,1997 when the evidence was determined inadequate to support closure. This commitment has been extended to March 24,1997, because additional time is needed to ensure actions are completed and appropriate evidence collected.
