Dear Mr. Denton:

The Rockwell International L-85 Nuclear Examination Reactor covered by Facility License No. R-ll8 has been dismantled in accordance with the dismantling plan submitted with the application transmitted with our letter of March 10,1980 (Reference a, above) and amended with our letter of December 14,1982 (Reference b, above) and the dismantling order transmitted with the NRC letter of February 22, 1983 (Reference c, above).

86RC00316 Rockwell January 8,1986 International Page 2 The facility has also been decontaminated as described in the dis-mantling plans transmitted with the March 10, 1980, and the Decem-ber 14, 1982, letters. Enclosed here is a report of the final radia-tion survey of the facility which shows that the radiation levels in the facility meet the requirements described in the dismantling plans.

Seven copies of the report are enclosed for your information and review. We are now requesting that the facility be inspected by repre-sentatives of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, that License No. R-ll8 be terminated, and the facility be released for unrestricted use.
