Your: response with regard to Violation-C.1, has been determined as inadequate-

in that no' satisfactory explanation was provided to describe what corrective

actions have been taken,.the results achieved, and when full compliance will.

In your letter, reference was made to the radiation survey procedure as

'de' scribed.in Item 17 of_the application dated' July. 28, 1983,. and the proposal-

to delete the'use of the word " daily" from the;. survey requirement. We have
. concluded that you have interpreted this violation as having been made.on the
.
basis of an apparent requirement to conduct daily radiation surveys- regardless
offthe utilizati'on of radioactive materials for u'se during nuclear medicine
- procedures. The inspector' recognized that your nuclear medicine studies.are
- not' performed 'on a ' daily basis, andlin any event, we realize that radiation

. surveys.of the areas in question are not-required on those. days when

radioactive materials ~are not eluted,~ transported or prepared for use by.
