Beaver Valley Unit 1 - Use of Portions of the 1980 Edition Through Winter 1981 Addenda of Section XI (TAC #59778)

The Inservice Inspection Program for Beaver Valley Unit 1 is based on the 1974 Edition through Summer 1975 Addenda of Section XI of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. By letter dated September 4, 1985, Duquesne Light requested NRC approval to use those portions of the 1980 Edition 3

through Winter 1981 Addenda related to pressure testing of systems and components at Beaver Valley Unit 1.

We have reviewed the request and supporting information contained in the letter. Since the 1980 Edition through Winter 1981 Addenda has been approved by the NRC, and since use of portions of later editions and addenda a

of Section XI is allowed by 10 CFR 50.55a(g)(4)(iv), we approve the change as requested in your letter.

This completes our work on the subject matter.
