Waterford 3 submitted Technical Specification Change Request (TSCR)
(W3F1-95-0168) NPF-38-172 on November 7,1995 for 3/4.8.1, " Electrical Power Systems - A.C. Sources" Per conversations with the Staff, additional changes were identified. In the interest of obtaining other aspects of the proposed change in support of Refueling Outage Number 8, Waterford 3 requests that the following portions of the change affecting EDG fuel oil be withdrawn (Item numbers referenced in the
" Description" Section of the November 7,1995 Letter):
- 18) Item 4.8.1.1.2g.1 delete "and"; add "or an appropriate mechanical method (such as pressure washing or manual wiping)."

- 19) Item 4.8.1.1.2g.2 delete this entire section which states " Performing a pressure test of those portions of the diesel fuel oil system designed to tp, j Section Ill, subsection ND of the ASME Code at a test pressur9 equal to 110% of the system design pressure."
- 20) ltem 4.8.1.1.2h delete "."; add ",or with an appropriate mechanical method (such as pressure washing or manual wiping)."

March 14,1997 Therefore, these requirements will be retained as it appears in the current version of the Waterford 3 Technical Specifications.
The withdrawal of this portion of the change has no affect on the no significant hazards evaluation provided in the initial submittal dated November 7,1995 or subsequent submittals.
