REFUELING INFORMATION The following refueling information is included in the Monthly Report as requested in an NRC letter to DECO, dated January 18, 1978:
For your convenience, the information supplied has been enumerated so that each number corresponds to equivalent notation utilized in the request.

The name of this facility is Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station, Docket Number 50-293.

Scheduled date for next Refueling Shutdown:
September 1986 3.
Scheduled date for restart following refueling:

The new fuel, which was loaded during the 1983-84 refueling outage, is of the same P8x8R design, as loaded the previous outage and consists of 160 P8DR8282 assemblies.
In addition, 32 GE6B-P8DRD282 assemblies were also loaded.

(a) There are 580 fuel assemblies in the core.
(b) There are 1,128 fuel assemblies in the spent fuel pool.

(a) The station is presently licensed to store 2320 spent fuel assemblies. The actual spent fuel storage capacity is 1770 fuel assemblies at present.
(b) The planned spent fuel storage capacity is 2320 fuel assemblies.

With present spent fuel in storage, the spent fuel pool now has the capacity to accommodate an additional 642 fuel assemblies.
BOSTON EDISON COMPANY PILGRIM NUCLEAR POWER STATION DOCHET NO. 50-293 Operational Summary for October 1985 The unit operated at an average daily level of 99% power from the first until the twelfth when a slight power reduction was made to allow maintenance on a feedwater regulation valvo. Maintenance on the feedwater valve was completed on the thirteenth.
From the fourteenth through the twenty-fifth, the unit was operated at an average daily power level between 98% and 99%.
On the twenty-sixth and twenty-seventh, power was reduced to perform a backwash of the main condenser and repair seals on the "B" reactor feedpump.
Subsequent to feedpump maintenance, the unit was returned to an average daily level of 95% power on the twenty-eighth and 99% power on the twenty-ninth.
On the thirtieth, power was reduced to approximately 75% in response to a condensate pumo problem.
The unit remained at reduced power ( 73%) through the end of the month pending completion of condensate pump repairs.
