TRANSITION OF REGULATORY AUTHORITY TO THE NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION Enclosed is a copy of the Federal Reaister Notice that announces that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has assumed regulatory jurisdiction over the gaseous diffusion plants from the Department of Energy. The two gaseous diffusion plants 1
operated by the United States Enrichment Corporation are located in Paducah, Kentucky and Portsmouth, Ohio. The transition occurred on March 3,1997.
