STAFF REQUIREMENTS - SECY-97-023 - REPORT TO CONGRESS ON ABNORMAL OCCURRENCES FOR FISCAL YEAR 1996 This is to advise you that the Commission has not objected to the proposed Abnormal Occurrences report, subject to the following clarifications.
1.
The staff should briefly describe why the two different dose calculations for 96-6 vary significantly.
In one location the report states that the dose to the patient's thigh is 71 cGy (71 rad).
In another place the report states that the medical consultant calculated the dose to the patient's thigh to be 864 cGy (864 rad).
2.
In Appendix D, the third paragraph, line 4, replace ' draft' with ' drift.'
