WCOBRA/ TRAC Long Term Cooling Letter Report
Dear Mr. Quay:
As a result of discussions with the NRC on the " windows mode" approach used in the WCOBRA/ TRAC Long-Term Cooling Validation Report (WCAP-14776), Westinghouse has performed additional calculations for window times a factor of three longer. A brief sununary of the results is contained in the letter report provided as Enclosure 1. The results demonstrate that divergence does not occur when WCOBRA/ TRAC is run for extended times. The information contained in the attached document will be discussed at the March 28,1997, ACRS Thermal Hydraulic Subcommittee meeting on Long Term Cooling.
