Dear Ms. Fountaine:
I am writing to express my appreciation for the prompt and thorough response of your staff to our Agency's needs. Last month, I had my staff request a briefing for upper level management on NCS services which could be brought to bear during NRC responses to nuclear events. Mr. John O'Connor quickly put together a presentation by Mr. Jonathan Bae, Mr. John Graves, and LCDR Angie Abrahamson. Their presentations were very informative and provided a number of possibilities for us to consider. One topic which we found particularly intriguing was the emerging Cellular Priority Services Program. I would like to take this opportunity to ask that the NRC be considered for participation in the testing phase of this technology.
I would also like to commend Mr. O'Connor for the assistance and support which he has provided my staff over the past six months on the ER Link project. We see this system as a valuable tool for incident response communication. Our experience in the beta test has been very encouraging and we look forward to working with you to shape the final production system.
