This request is made under the federal Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C. 552 Please send me copy of the transcript from a June 3, 1985, briefing of the Commission regarding the Wolf Creek Muclear Power Plant.
The briefing preceded a licensing hearing, -the transcript from which I also would like sent to me.
As you know, the FOI Act provides that if portions of a document are exempt # rom release, the remainder must be degregated and disclosed.
Therefore, I will expect you to send me all nonexempt portions 'of the records which I have requested, and ask yhat you justify any deletions by reference to specific exemptions of the FOI Act.
I reserve the right to appeal your decision to withhold any materials.
I promise to pay reasonable search and duplication fees in connection wit this request.
However, if you estimate that the total fees will exceed
?20, please notify me so that I may authorize expenditure of a greater amount.
Also, because I am a reporter for a general circulation newspaper, I ask that consideration be givn to a waiver of these costs in the public interest.
