. THE ARC. TESTS, WHICH WERE, DESIGNED TO PROVIDE CONSERVATIVE-RESULTS, HAVE SHOWN THAT THERE IS NO MEASURABLE LOSS OF WATER FROM THE REFERENCE' LEG DURING A 10 SECOND TRANSIENT FROM 2300 PSI TO 1400 PSI (SIMULATED LOCA) WITH HYDROGEN SATURATED REFERENCE LEG WATER. ON CONTINUATION OF THE TRANSIENT FROM 1400 PSI TO ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE, SIGNIFICANT LOSS OF WATER OCCURS ONLY AFTER THE PRESSURE Hd5 DECAYED BELOW 400 PSI.
1 BASED ON THESE TESTS, IT WAS CONCLUDED THAT THE REFERENCE LEG WILL PERFORM AS REQUIRED WITHOUT THE INSTALLATION OF SENSE LINE ISOLATORS.
