Dear Mr. Schlemmer:
This is in partial response to your letter dated September 19, 1985, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (F0IA), seven categories of documents concerning seven listed companies.
In a telephone conversation on September 30, 1985, with Linda Robinson, you agreed to narrow the scope of your FOIA request to records dated from September 1984 to the present concerning the merger of the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company and Toledo Edison.
The NRC has already made the documents listed on the enclosed Appendix A available for public inspection and copying at the NRC Public Document Room (PDR), 1717 4 Street, NW, Washington, DC 20555. There is no charge for inspecting documents maintained at the PDR. We are enclosing a copy of a notice that provides charges and procedures for obtaining copies of records from the PDR.
The search for additional documents subject to your request is continuing. As soon as our search is completed, we will notify you.
