SUMMARY

OF MEETING HELD ON NOVEMBER 5-6, 1985 -

FIRST MONTHLY STATUS MEETING TO DISCUSS THE ACTIVITIES DESCRIBED IN THE APPLICANTS' PROGRAM PLAN On November 5 and 6,1985, a public meeting was held in Granbury, Texas with representatives from the NRC and Texas Utilities. This was the first monthly status meeting regarding the activities described in the Applicants' Program Plan. The meeting was transcribed and the transcript is provided as an enclosure. The list of attendees at the meeting and all handouts provided at the meeting are included in the transcript.

I The NRC staff presented the status their review of the Program Plan. The following areas of NRC staff review were discussed: 1) the Construction Adequacy review, 2) the Construction Inspection activities being performed by Region IV, 3) the Design Adequacy review being performed by IE, 4) the Stone and Webster piping and pipe support activities, and 5) the Ebasco cable tray and conduit support activities.

J Representatives from Texas Utilities then provided the NRC staff with the status of their Program Plan activities. The following areas of the Program Plan were discussed: 1) the Design Adequacy program, 2) the Quality of Construction Inspection program, 3) the Technical Review Team (TRT) issues, 4) the Stone and Webster pipe and pipe support activities, and 5) the Ebasco cable tray and conduit support activities.

The NRC staff will review in more detail the following items: 1) the safety significant evaluation process, 2) the Construction Adequacy program homogeneous construction activities and how SSER 11, Appendix P, is being addressed, and 3) the Design Adequacy program homogeneous design activities.
