g. 03- ACTIO:: TO DATE Modifications were made to double the gain of the scaled difference amplifiers without requiring , component changes. Spare inputs, which were previously grounded, vere used to sum each input twice; this in-creased the overall gain by a factor of two. All viring changes were ,

made at the viring plane external to the amplifier module without modifying the amplifier itself. With this modificaticn, the amplifier gain vill still be set anywhere between 2.5 and 5 0 but will show acceptable scaled results without exceeding the maximum allowable gain of the difference amplifier. This modification was also necessary in Unit I because the cain setting at the end of Cycle III was already at 4.66 and it needed to be increased to 6.5 for the beginning of Cycle IV.
