STATUS OF NRCS REVIEW OF THE ADDENDUM TO THE CLEANUP PLAN FOR THE FORMER UNITED NUCLEAR CORPORATION NAVAL PRODUCTS SITE IN NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT
Dear Dr. Van Nortwick:
This letter is to inform you that we have completed our review of your Addendum to the Cleanup Plan dated April 27, 2020, [Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)
Accession Number ML20121A201] for the former United Nuclear Corporation Naval Products site in New Haven, Connecticut. (Note: For reference, the ADAMS Accession Number for the Cleanup Plan, dated May 7, 2019, is ML19128A153.) We have coordinated with and informed the State of Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection of the results of our review. Based on our review, the NRC has no further questions and expects that you will continue with your activities at the site.
In addition, you should review your Final Status Survey Plan (FSSP) to determine if changes made to the Cleanup Plan, as a result of the Addendum, should be reflected in the FSSP. If changes are required, submit a revised FSSP to the NRC for review prior to implementation.
