B-40 valves (CH-SOV-242 and -242B) to correct previously identified single failure concerns.
The solenoid valves do not have independent control. They are deenergized to the closed position when their respective VCT suction isolation valves (CH-MOV-257 and CH MOV -257B) are closed. On a safety injection actuation signal the following automatic actions take place:
1. Both charging pumps start.
- 2. CH-MOV-257 and CH-MOV-257B close.
- 3. RWST suction isolation valves BA-MOV-32 and BA-MOV-373 open.
