1996, request for information pursuant to 10 CFR 50.54(f) regarding adequacy and availability'of design bases information. No additional information is needed atithis; time..

We have abo received your two' certifications of permanent cessation of power operation and that fuel has been permanentlysremoved from the reactor, dated December 5,~1996,las required by 10 CFR 50.82, the decommissioning regulation.

We understand that Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Company is undertaking a Configuration Management Project.(CMP) that will define the design basis for decommissioning of the site. After you inform us that the CMP is complete, we plan an inspection of the~ document at the'Haddam Neck site. We also understand that the CMP will be used to update the Final Safety Analysis Report.  ; 1 If you have any questions, or if it appears that our understanding of the CMP is inaccurate or incomplete, please contact me at (301) 415-1442.
