OF MEETING WITH CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY OF AMERICA j
This memorandum provides a brief sumnary and record of the reeting between rerbers o' the NRC staff and representatives of Catholic University of America (CUA) at Bethesda on September 4,1985 The attendees were: Andrew Favret, CUA Edward Jordan, CUA Warren Keene, CUA Thomas Elsasser, NRC/RGN I Cecil Thomas, NRC/NRR Herbert Berkow, NRC/NRR John Dosa, NRC/NRR The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the licensing requirerents for issuino an amendment for possession-only to Operating License No. R-31.
CUA frdicated the possibility of decommissioning in addition to, or instead of, the possession-only amendment. License requirenents were discussed and compared for the current license with the requirements necessary for possessinn-only status and decomissioning.
CUA agreed to submit an application for possession-only amendrent within I
sixty days after the meeting, and to decide within several weeks whether i
deconmissioning would be pursued in conjunction with the possession-only emendment.
