Generic Letter 95-05, " Voltage-Based Repair Criteria for the Repair of Westinghouse Steam Generator Tubes Affected by Outside Diameter Stn:ss Corrosion Cracking," requires the submittal of an associated report within 90 days of the restart following a steam generator inspection. The required report for the Fall 1996 Farley Unit ; inspection is attached.
Per Generic Letter 95-05,3.c.7, use of a smaller hobbin probe during implementation of the alternate repair criteria requires NRC Staff approval. Section 10 of the report provides the required testing for use of the smaller bobtin probe. It is requested that the NRC Staff approve use of the smaller bobbin probe prior to the next Unit 2 outage in the Spring of 1998.
