Enclosed is a letter from Mr. John A. Miller, Regional Director, Federal Emergency j
Management Agency, Region Vil, dated November 27,1996, which notified the State of
)
Missouri of deficiencies identified during the November 19,1996, Cooper Nuclear Station full-scale biennial exercise.
Four deficiencies were identified in Atchison County. The deficiencies involved formulation and dissemination of accurate information and instructions to the public, implementation of l
appropriate protective actions for special populations, implementation of appropriate protective actions for school children, and traffic flow and area access control.
We request that you assist offsite officials with corrective actions as required and track the j
State's corrective actions for these deficiencies. Please keep this office informed of the i
resolution status of these issues.
