Enclosed for your information are reports which list all Nuclear Regulatory Commission export and import cases which were completed, received, or pending during the month of November 1996.
In summary, four cases were completed, four new license applications or amendment requests were received, and 23 cases were pending as of November 30.
We understand that most of the pending cases listed in the report are awaiting receipt by the Executive Branch of foreign government assurances as required by the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended by the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Act of 1978.
